If you’re looking for some beautiful spring family photos, I’m holding 3 days of mini shoots at a bluebell wood nearer to Stourbridge, in the West Midlands. Spring has sprung and is absolutely bursting with colour. It is such a beautiful time of year to update your family photos, as the weather perks up and the trees are blooming and the ground becomes a beautiful blue carpet. The perfect backdrop for your family memories!

My shoots are COVID safe by taking place outdoors and I will be abiding by the guidelines by keeping a social distance. If you are interested in booking a slot contact me ASAP as places are limited.

WHAT WILL THE PHOTO SHOOT BE LIKE?

Your photo session will last around 30 minutes, which is a great window of time for getting some a few posed and natural photos. I’ll guide you on where to stand and we’ll do a mixture of photos with everyone looking at the camera and some lovely natural ones with you looking at each other and the kids playing. If we have time I’ll get photos of the children on their own too. Please bear in mind we need to be very respectful of the bluebells as they are protected.

Where & When?

The bluebell photo shoots will be held at a location near to Stourbridge, location with be confirmed on booking. Dates are the first two Sundays in May 1st & 8th and one midweek day Wednesday 4th May.

PUNCTUALITY

Due to the nature of mini shoots it is crucial to be on time and ready for your time slot. Any delays will cut into your shoot time as I can not allow it to have a knock on effect throughout the day.

HOW WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES

After your photo session I will get to work on editing your photos. You will receive a link and password to a private online gallery with watermarked images. Here you can choose 5 images that are included with your shoot. I will then send you a link to download your chosen images unwatermarked.

ADDITIONAL IMAGES

If you would like to buy any additional images they are £15 each. You can also purchase prints from the gallery if you wish.

WHAT TO WEAR

Hopefully it will be warm with it being the beginning of May but we are in the UK and the weather is so unpredictable. Do consider the weather and wear something appropriate for this. The shoot will still go ahead if there is light rain. I want these images to be natural and a slice of life, but some clothes work better for photos than others. I always recommend neutral tones, some pops of colour, textures and most importantly something COMFORTABLE. Try to co-ordinate your outfits so they’re in a similar colour pallet and style so they work well as a group. I love bright, airy, whites, greys, bright pops of colour and simplicity when it comes to family photography. The only things to really avoid are big logos, cartoon prints, and fluorescent colours.

HINTS & TIPS

Bribes!!! I would suggest having some bribes or treats on hand just in case your child doesn’t feel like playing ball. Feel free to bring some bubbles, kids love to blow bubbles and they look great in these type of photos!

How do we book

Places are on a first come first served basis requiring an up front £25 booking fee to secure your booking. The remaining £65 payment is due the day before the shoot. Payment securely online.
